Just let go and swim leisurely in the large 32°C vitality pool or the 35°C wellness pool. Relax in the therapeutic water and swim peacefully while gazing through floor-to-ceiling glass windows at the large outdoor pools, or let the floor jets, champagne bubbles, and whirlpools massage you. The water in Northern Germany’s largest outdoor thermal pool area—with a water surface area of over 900 m²—maintains a comfortable temperature of 32 °C year-round in both outdoor pools. You can relax under waterfall showers, above floor jets, and at the neck showers; let yourself drift along the current channel; or sit on one of the bubble benches and squint at the sun as it shines through the canopy of the old trees in the spa park.

Built on stilts and spanning 180 square meters, SOLEWelt offers an incredible panoramic view of the beautiful spa park and its Ilmenau floodplains—whether from the brine experience room or the spacious sun terrace. In the brine experience room, you can enjoy the soothing warmth at around 70°C, and in the SOLE relaxation room, you can savor the brine-infused air in complete tranquility.
Built on stilts, SOLEWelt offers you an incredible panoramic view of the beautiful spa park and the Ilmenau River from the brine experience area—comfortably heated to 70°C—and from the spacious sun terrace. In the brine relaxation room with its graduation tower, you can completely unwind and relax.
An 85°C salt sauna and salt lounge with a graduation tower invite you to relax in an atmospheric setting. The graduation towers in the SALZWelt consist of a wooden framework filled with bundles of brushwood, through which water with a high salt content—brine—trickles. It atomizes into a fine mist, creating a seaside-like climate—invigorating and healthy with every breath.
In the fireplace corner, in the salt lounge with its graduation tower, and in the salt garden with its graduation tower, you can truly unwind, relax far away from everyday life, and simply let your mind wander—alleviate the effects of excessive stress and recharge with new, healthy energy.

Part of the spacious indoor sauna area is designed as an octagonal Roman “balneum” with a cheerful color scheme. It features a round plunge pool in the center, surrounded by two sanariums and a Finnish sauna for relaxation. Starting in September 2024, the Balneum will undergo modernization. The large plunge pool, the cold-water showers, and the Kneipp hose in the sauna garden also offer a refreshing way to cool off.

The small stream with a bridge, the large wading pool, and the many comfortable lounge chairs help you quickly forget the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
